Larry and Donna Grabianowski,
2009 Lillie Fahey Participation Award winners
Everybody loved Lillie Fahey, our very first paid lady member. One year she won the Participation Trophy single-handed. She was a delightful person, always friendly and smiling, ready to share a good time. You should have seen her in her 1930-model swim suit! She drove "Old Betsy" a 1931 Tudor for which she held the original title. Lillie passed away in 1976, and every Model A club member who attended her funeral drove their Model A in the procession (not planned - it just happened spontaneously). It is very fitting that our club participation awards are named for this special club member.
All MAFCC members are eligible to earn points toward the Lillie Fahey Awards. Points are awarded for:
Attendance at club-sanctioned events that are open to everyone.
Driving your 'A' to club events
Wearing era attire to club events
Contributing articles to the "Quail" newsletter
Planning and hosting club activities
Recruiting new members
