Registration Checklist
  • Be sure you're a current MAFCA member (membership is required).  Join at: store.mafca.com 
  • Download the fillable registration form.
  • Complete the form online, including meal selections and T-shirt information for each person.
  • Print the completed registration form single-sided only.
  • Sign the waiver.
  • Write a check for your registration fees.
  • Mail everything to the PO Box listed on the registration form.
  • Watch your email for your registration confirmation and hotel reservation information.

STEP ONE: COMPLETE REGISTRATION FORM ​

1) PRINT AND FILL-OUT THE PDF REGISTRATION FORM BELOW.  

Please print the registration form single-sided only.
​The waiver and release form must be signed and returned with your registration.

2) ONCE COMPLETED, MAIL YOUR REGISTRATION FORM AND A CHECK PAYABLE TO "2027 MAFCA National Tour" FOR THE AMOUNT DICTATED ON YOUR REGISTRATION FORM TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS:

Step Two: Check Email and Arrange for Lodging

Check your email address for an email from our registrar to confirm your registration number.

​This email will also include hotel information that will allow you to schedule your stay.

If you plan to drive an RV, this email will also include a list of nearby RV parks that you can choose to stay at.

Step Three: Durango and Silverton Railroad Tickets

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad tickets for the 2027 season are not available at this time. Tickets will be available beginning in February 2027.

Plan on riding the train on one of the following dates:
  • June 14
  • June 15
  • June 16

TICKETS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR FEE AND WILL NEED TO BE SECURED ON YOUR OWN.

HIGH ALTITUDE NOTICE

hIGH aLTITUDE hEALTH tIPS

1)   Eat a high-carb, low protein, low fat diet.
2)   Eat smaller, more frequent meals
3)   HYDRATE enough to maintain pale yellow urine.
4)   Avoid alcohol after 6:00PM for the first 48 hours.
5)   Use sunblock SPF-30 and reapply often.
6)   UV-rated sunglasses or goggles are essential to protect your eyes
7)   Don't over-exert yourself in the first 48 hours.

acute mountain sickness (ams) IS COMMON
ABOVE 6000FT ELEVATION.

SYMPTOMS OF MILD AMS MAY INCLUDE:
  • HEADACHE
  • ​DIZZINESS
  • FATIGUE
  • NAUSEA AND/OR VOMITING​
  • SHORTNESS OF BREATH
  • LACK OF APPETITE
  • DISTURBED SLEEP
  • ​GENERAL FEELING OF MALAISE
THE CONSEQUENCES OF SEVERE AMS CAN BE SERIOUS. High altitude and lower air pressure can cause fluid to leak from capillaries. It can build up in the lungs and the brain. Remaining at altitude without proper treatment and acclimatization can potentially be life-threatening.
