Durango, Colorado is a historic mountain city founded in 1880 by the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad, known for outdoor recreation in the San Juan Mountains and the scenic Animas River. The city offers historic charm with preserved architecture and is a popular destination. The city has 20,000 residents and an elevation of 6,500 feet.
There will be a day open to ride the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad on a trip to Silverton and back. For questions regarding the tour, please contact [email protected]

- Tickets will be available by February 1, 2027. Prices for 2027 are not available yet.
- There are many options for the train, but we suggest riding the Steam Train in an open gondola car.
- If you can not get tickets for this day, go on June 14 or June 16 and substitute the tour for the Tuesday.

About the Hosting Chapter
|
The Model A Ford Club of Colorado was founded in 1959 and became affiliated with MAFCA as the Mile Hi Chapter in 1965. In 1972, MAFCC became affiliated with MARC as the Mile High Region. Our Club recently hosted the 2016 MAFCA National Convention in Loveland, CO, the 2022 MAFCA National Awards Banquet in Golden, CO and the 2023 High Country Regional Tour in Breckenridge, CO.
